Sharpie Art

True story....
My artist (Ronnie) doesn't like shoes, doesn't like shopping, and especially doesn't like shopping for shoes.  When she does have to shop for shoes, she buys a pair, usually tennis shoes, and proceeds to wear them until they are falling to pieces.

Once upon a time Ronnie was married, and her husband didn't especially like the worn out shoes.  He would wait until garbage day, drop Ronnie's worn out shoes in the trash, and wave good-bye as the trash truck trundled the worn out shoes down the street on its way to the dump, forcing Ronnie to go buy new shoes.

In order to keep her comfy shoes from getting tossed, Ronnie began to color them with Sharpies.  She would make wonderfully wild shapes in bright colors and you could see her feet coming a mile away.  The worn-outness was disguised and her shoes escaped the trip to the trash.

This all happened ten or fifteen years ago (she always was ahead of her time) and Ronnie still colors her shoes if she gets the chance but now she does it just for fun.

Other people are now having some Sharpie fun.  Check it out...
