They are not cuddly.
They have been foisted upon us by law and now I have to get rid of one.
They are suppose to last forever!
HOWEVER...somehow one curly, cute (not cuddly) energy saving bulb that was screwed into an overhead socket and rarely used, has stopped working so NOW...I have to find a way to dispose of it.
The problem is, these beauties have a little mercury in them, which of course means they can't just be thrown into the trash because now it has become hazardous waste.
So how does one go about disposing of a curly, cute (not cuddly) energy saving piece of hazardous waste? Well, in Dayton, OH one must NOT put them in the trash for regular curbside pick-up.
I am open for suggestions to alternatives to having to take just one curly, cute, mercury laden light bulb to the Household Hazardous Waste Facility.
Maybe a piece of art in the making?
Love,
Buddy
